How to get your auto repair business recommended by ChatGPT (and every other AI)

What customers type into AI assistants about auto repair shops:

• "Honest mechanic near me for a check engine light"
• "Shop that works on Toyota and Honda, not a dealer"
• "Brake job cost and who can do it today"
• "Mechanic open Saturday near me"

What do people ask AI assistants about auto repair?

Trust and specifics: an honest mechanic for a check engine light, brakes, A/C, transmissions, which makes a shop specializes in, whether it beats the dealer, and whether it is open on Saturday. An assistant leans on stated specialties, hours and recent reviews.

What should an auto repair shop put on the page first?

The makes you specialize in, the services you want more of, ASE certification if you have it, your warranty on parts and labor, your hours (Saturday matters), whether you offer loaner cars or shuttles, and the towns you serve.

How do AI assistants pick a local auto repair business?

When someone asks ChatGPT, Siri, Copilot, Claude or Perplexity for a auto repair near them, the assistant searches the web and reads the pages it finds, then names the businesses whose facts it can read clearly and check against other sources. A business with a complete, consistent page is easy to recommend. A business with thin or conflicting facts is easy to skip.

What signals do AI assistants weigh?

The ones they commonly mention: licensing and insurance stated plainly, review volume and recent reviews, clear hours (and 24/7 if you really offer it), transparent pricing or at least how you price, the towns you serve, and the same name, address, phone and hours everywhere they look: Google, Bing Places, Apple Business Connect and your AssistAnt page.

What are the steps?

1. Find your page above and tap to claim it: Ann, our AI assistant, calls the number already on your listing so you can say "yes, that's me." About a minute, free. 2. Fill in your services, towns and hours. 3. Put the same facts on Google, Bing Places and Apple Business Connect (all free). 4. Keep your AI Boost running and check it weekly.

What does AI Boost do automatically once I claim?

Your page stays fresh from your real job records and reviews, your facts are laid out in the structure AI assistants read (including questions and answers like these), every change is sent straight to search engines the moment it happens, and AI tools can look your business up live through our directory connection. Once a week you can see what ChatGPT and Claude say about auto repair shops in your town.

Can I pay to rank higher?

No. Nobody can pay to rank higher on AssistAnt, and town lists are ordered by activity, never by money. AI Boost is free. Ann, our AI receptionist, and the office system are optional paid products for shops that want them.

What does the AI-read count mean?

It counts how many times AI assistants and search engines read your page. Those are AI systems, not people and not leads. It shows the AIs know your page exists.
