How the AI Visibility Score is figured
Every business in the AssistAnt 24/7 directory gets one AI Visibility Score from 0 to 100. Everyone sees the same number, and every part of it comes from facts anyone can check.
This score measures how visible this business is to AI assistants. It is not a grade of their work.
The parts (100 points)

| Named by the AIs | Each week we ask ChatGPT and Claude, with live web search, the same published question for the trade and town: “Who are the best [trade] near [town]?” The points are the share of those answers that name the business. | 25 |

| Freshness | Full points if the owner confirmed or updated the facts in the last 30 days, sliding to 0 at 90 days. For a business that hasn't claimed its page, this is the date we last found its website working, labeled “last checked,” never “confirmed.” | 20 |
| Reviews | 5 for having reviews on AssistAnt, 5 for one in the last 90 days, 5 for the owner answering reviews. The count doesn't matter: 500 reviews earn the same 15 as three. | 15 |

Not checked yet is never a zero
If we haven't checked something yet, like a town the AIs haven't been asked about, a website we haven't loaded, or a phone number we haven't cross-checked, that part is left out. The score is figured over the parts we did check. A business never loses points because we haven't looked.
Rank
Businesses are ranked by score within the same trade and town. Ties share a rank. A town with fewer than 4 businesses in the trade is widened to nearby towns, and the area is labeled.
Money never moves this score
Nothing anyone pays for adds a single point. The score can't be bought, only earned.
Something wrong?
If a fact on a page is wrong, the business can send a correction from its listing page, claim the page and fix it, or have the page removed. The score is refigured from the corrected facts the next time the page is read.
